    G'day,

Any takers for the comparison between the two. I'm torn between both,
Sprint for looks and Bird for comfort and smooth power plant. Bird's
    probably best fit being v/tall.

I'd pick the Sprint for comfort as well, though I'd happily take either

Is the Blackbird actually better for a big rider?!!? I'm very surprised at
that (having own the previous era Sprint which definitely belonged at the
"Big Men's" end of the shop).

  6. I'd say yeah, the budgie just does it so comfy. And then gets down and
boogies when you want it to.

    Just ask Hatz.

I know 4 guys who own Blackbirds,2 are over 6'6 the other two are 6'2
ish - they seem to be happy with it.

Heheh, I've had offers I've had to decline. And not just from those guys
    ;-).

It's got me stuffed why I seem to end up knowing(1) ridiculously tall
guys. Weirdos tend to gravitate towards each other perhaps ? Could
explain ausmoto. I'm going with "I know shitloads of people" though.
Google isn't helping, you've got me, again

I'm not saying they're not good; just that I'd be surprised if a Honda
would be dimensioned better for a big rider than the notoriously tall and
    rangy Triumphs.
I'll have to go have a sit and check it out.

there's a woman in Woden (Canberra) who rides a Blackird and I hear it
reliably from the bloke in the takeaway (we used to have good bike-chats
early in the morning before work) - she's not that much taller than I am.
yeah, right..... 5'3"? Blackbird? Just looking at it on the centre-stand
used to bring me out in a sweat......

Of course the bike is going to be a long way off the ground when you use
the centre stand.. that's what it's for. You're never likely to need to
sit on the bike when it's on the centre stand and be able to touch the
ground. I'm 5'7 and I can almost flat foot both feet on my blackbird.
As for tall riders, I'm guessing by the look of the fairing that it's
designed not to interfere with tall rider's knees. On earlier
Blackbirds tall riders had trouble with the screen obscuring the dash,
2002-onwards came with a taller screen from the factory to counter that
problem. I have put a double bubble screen on my current XX.
