The great de-clutter has temporarily switched focus from the garage to
the 'computer room' given this cold snap.

Years of accumulated books, CDs and other paraphernalia. Loads of stuff
is destined for the tip, but I find it difficult to do that with some
    things.

Two possible ebay candidates are an Owner's Repair Manual for the KTM
MC495 1982 (the hairy 500 two stroke MX model) and a copy of the parts
list for SWM 125, 175 and 250 Enduro and MX engines (Rotax air-cooled
disc valve stroker) from the late 70's IIRC.

Some fairly esoteric PC software with its original packaging, discs and
manuals are probably not even of scant interest to computer historians.

    Microsoft Quick C, Visual C++
    Timeworks Desktop Publisher
    Clipper Summer 87
Borland ObjectVision 2.1 (anyone remember that?)

The only one that might possibly have been a 'collector's item' is an
original 1981 Visicalc for Apple II 48K. Still with its plastic ring
binder manual reference card and user assurance plan - only problem
being that the program floppy disk is only a Nashua copy. Fucknose where
the original was put for safekeeping 28 years ago.

The Motorcycle Sports have been safely boxed up. That just leaves
assorted bike mags from the 90's. I'm not throwing out the
'Streetfighters' April 99 issue with 3 page spread on the Nordwest
engined Saturno that I owned for ten years.

    All my yesterdays innit.

I suddenly feel very, very old - the first bits of commercial software
I wrote were written in Clipper S87.

    machine code.

So you're older than me, but lamer.

  4. I believe that Lozzo is still building a library of motorcycle manuals
    - you might want to drop him a line on this.

    In communiqué <2009113018292738165-doesnotcompute@gmailcom>,
Is he? They could certainly fuel his two-stroke perversion. Rather
limited demand for these titles I would have thought, but if they can be
of use to some misguided tinkerer somewhere it's OK by me. Naturally the
Gilera items are being retained, as I am slowly 'digitising' the most
useful stuff for enthusiasts of the pre-scooter era machines to access.

  9. First commercial code job I got was on a Texas Instruments TI58.
Writing a programme that could give a building company quotes for
their window frames. Buggered if I can recall how much those little
magnetic cards could hold but I doubt it would be over 2k . . .
