    Isn't A&E a bit extreme for a freshly Renapur'd set of leathers?

A bit of kitchen towel and spit. Rub it on, wipe it off, repeat.

You might never get it out anyway.

If at all possible, blood stains should not be allowed to dry.

Pure water will break up the blood cells, making them more likely to
stain, so a salt solution is preferable.

Biological washing powder is good for removing blood stains but is not
good for leather. Use sparingly, rinse well.

The quicker you deal with any stain, the better.

If you have a blood stain on red leather shoes, it will not be
camouflaged; trust me, I'm a doctor!

You'd think a doctor would know when it's time to get the big pants out.

Question was not how but WHY did it happen?
Were there any witnesses and/or a reason they set about you.
