  1. My daughter (and apple of my eye etc etc) has taken and passed her CBT
today and just set off (alone) to visit her mate on her nice shiney new
    moped...

    I should be delighted.

Why am I terrified for her?

What that shes on a moped?
She'll be fine, it's a parent thing, once you've realised she's going to
grow up , get a job, have kids, maybe get married, put you in a home when
you're about 80 and probably say something reasonably nice at your funeral
    [1] you'll be fine.

[1] "I remember the day I got my CBT, my poor dad was terrified to realise I
was finally growing up. I hope he realises how terrified I was of failing
him as a daughter and he knew how much I loved him" [2]

[2] Or something else all sentimentally [3]

[3] Hey, I could write this shit for a living me

Fortunately not. Silly cow nearly put me in hospital driving me back
from the CBT centre after I'd dropped Sophies bike off there. Pulled
out in front of white van man, then when she was blocking all his escape
routes, saw him and stood on the fucking brakes instead of getting out
    of the way.

It's better than nothing... It's a scooter style one.
I know all that. I'm still sick with worry.

Excellent - I've nothing against a discretely placed attractive tatto on
a woman. You've put my mind at rest.

Almost pedal cycle speeds, and better protective gear too.
