Thank you, Nev. -- "The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!" - Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity. Whitlam whining about his appointee for Governor General John Kerr.
And Menzies is correctly pronounced Mingis, Dalziel is pronounced De-el, and Saint-John is pronounced Sinijn. So what's your point? Oh, and its Cholmondley. -- "The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!" - Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity. LOL! Now that's just labouring the point. But I hope she wasn't in labour for long. -- "The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!" - Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity. Dunno. Have the possible routes even changed? There's only three ways to get there (Mona Vale Rd, Roseville Bridge, Spit Bridge) and Roseville is the only vaguely direct route. Even google puts it at thirteen minutes, and I reckon that's very conservative. <http://tinyurl.com/bw8erg> GB
Interesting. Google Maps increases its estimate by an additional nine minutes for that short, 800-odd metre stretch of the Pacific Highway (and a little bit of never-crowded Allambie Road and Aquatic Drive!). GB
The original post looked fine to me (double umlaut over the a) but the one above is seriously rooted!
I get the feeling we've met this particular hollow-vessel before. If I cared I'd probably try to do some detective work but a simple click to make the noise go away is much easier.....
Right - I want someone to ride from Fullers Rd to Aquatic Drive via Warringah Rd at 8.30 on a weekday and tell me how long it takes. See how well my memory is. I still bet it is half an hour. If not, I'll get Johno to shout you a VB. I also recall it took Kerry the same amount of time to drive to where she was working in North Sydney (Radio Marketing Bureau - above Dick Smith, on Pacific Hwy - god knows whether it is there any more) even though I had to travel a lot further. But I was heading out of the city. She was headung into it. Worst one was when I was living in Kew in Melbourne (that's the Melbourne Melbourne, not the Sydney Melbourne) and was working at Channel 10 in Burswood. Getting up at 4am in the morning and riding halfway across the city was shite. And it was a shite job. At least when I started with Channel 7 they were in South Melbourne. Much more civilised and more pubs for knock-off time.
You would be gambling on that job Geez Kev, whinging for having to travel from Kew to BURWOOD at that time of day should have been real easy, straight out High st, Doncaster road and you are there. You may have been one of the cars I passed when I was living in East Kew. I remember being offered a job as a cameraman at Channel 0 in 1964 but didn't take it because I thought that it wouldn't amount to much, being a new TV station and all. I wanted a more permanent job with security
I believe you. Boundary Rd. does get congested. But mostly going the other way. I suspect Archer St. is a big secret in Chatswood. It runs down the back of Westfields and leads to the parking stations but is relatively traffic free. Unfortunately, you'd have to head south down the Pacific Hwy. to get to it from Fullers Rd. If you came up from the south, its probably easier. I'd take Archer over Boundary or Mowbray Rd. to get to East Chatswood. There's a DSE in Berry St. (off the highway). So its probably long gone. But, yes, heading down the highway is a time waster. I wish there were more turn-offs on the Warringah Expressway heading south. The biggest problem in Sydney at the moment is Victoria Ave. thanks to the new bridge toll and congestion tax. F'ing labour thieves at it again. -- "The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!" - Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity.
