Bloody Weather

One can barely plan a few days away on the bike around here. The weather
is almost as unpredictable as the Met services.
Last night Mull and Skye were looking good. Galway/Donegal were slightly
less so. This morning it's raining here and over in Ayr and the weather
further up is looking less certain. At the same time Galway is perking
up with sun and low 20's past Sunday.

Thank **** I didn't bother booking the ferry yesterday. I shall miss
the West of Scotland roads though.

Can't we have giant Mylar solar mirrors in orbit controlling the climate
    or summat pleeeese.

Who needs it? It is, as usual, lovely and sunny and warm here in Sunny
    Essex.

How strange and how very quaint, I get mine free from my insurer.

Still I suppose I am less of a risk than some folks Cab could name.

Head for the train station, basically.

    The hotel is signposted.

To make the girl at the Lebanese caff laugh - stack 2 chairs and sit on
    'em.

Odd innit, he seems a bright enough chap and all that yet somehow unable
to learn from experience. I suppose it is the battering he has got over
the years from high speed wind turbulence, brain damage or something. A
bit like the creeping deafness when you play in a rock band.

AOL. Since I was left stranded by the thing running on 3 cylinders and
pissing fuel out the bottom 4 days ago, I thought it somewhat wise.

Compounded by the fact that when I rang the mechanics today they said
"oh, we can't find anything wrong with it"

    Arggh.

What time do you plan to take lunch?

I'll be amerging into French daylight around 09:40 local.

I need to know whether to enjoy the ride to Maroilles, or to stick it
    on't aurotoute.

We'll very likely be eating not too long after noon. You probably want to
autoroute it as far as Cambrai.
