No. I'm planning to waste my weekend making sure the over-indulged cunts in the SE of the country have enough power to make a cup of tea.
Nah, Gold Cup at Olivers Mount instead. There's a ride-out from the Post Office at Haigh on the 19th for charidee winding up at the Mount. 8am start.
The word No suggested that I wouldn't be any where near Fenland and as far as I know Dungeness is still in the SE of England. I'm currently wasting my time pretending I know what I'm doing at the power station and drinking beer in Rye.
Bleedin' hell. I was down there on Wednesday night. Tried to get Timo and BGN to come for a pint in the Wipers. Timo was ill and BGN "had a raid on", so was wrapped up in his WoW stuff. Managed to get 20 minutes of Ma's Nuremburg reminiscences on video instead, so all was not lost.
Wednesday night I would have been in the Queens or the Pipemakers. I only drink in the best places when I'm in Rye. That's a bit of a bonus then.
There was some amount of bikes going that way early this morning, hundreds -- Nige, BMW K1200S Range Rover Vogue
Nige said: **** me, well we all set off early, only live 40 miles away but left at about 8.30 am in the car with the mrs and kids. Have to say, never been to something like this on this scale but certainly enjoyed it, think we got there about 10am and left at 5 as stalls were packing up. Got a few goodies including some overtrousers with some armour in as i intend to use the bike through the winter and jeans arent exactly decent protection if / when i come off. Got a strange "duffle type" armoured coat which i took a real fancy to, managed to get it from £100 to £55 so was chuffed and saw a camo armoured jacket that i really liked but the fucker was arrogant and wouldnt shift on the price. To be fair it was only £35 so i think the arsey pikey in me got the better of me and i didnt buy. Fucking regret it now of course! but yes, we all had a really good day out and the kids in particular enjoyed it. Start em young!
