    Hey guys,

I'm looking at buying a new BMW K1200S. Went for a test ride the other day
ans found the bike to be great - a big difference to the Harley cruiser I
    currently ride.

It's a relatively new bike so hard to get anybody's opinion - has anyone had
a ride and if so, any thoughts?

    Thanks....

Well, like you say, they're a completely new model. So new that anyone
who might've bought one is not too likely to even be able to tell you
how long a rear tyre lasts, or how much a service costs, or if the shaft
    splines are prone to self-destruct.

Not sure what you're hoping to hear, as, having had a go of a K12S,
you'd have a lot more to tell people on here about it than the other way
    around.

Speaking of which... let's hear more. How was it?

If you're going to call it an onion you can stick with the bloody Harley.

    Okay - Opinion!!!!!!

So I either have to take more care or use a spell checker!!!!!!

Well I've decided to go ahead with it - so there.

I'm going to miss the Deuce :-(

Well shit there's a change of lifestyle ! You've just quadrupled your HP
and halved the weight, just go easy on the throttle hand for the first
couple of weeks. Umm also, you've got these brake thingys now, don't go
grabbing the front lever with both hands anymore or you'll be over the
    front...

    Have fun !!
Don't forget Nebo and the Hinze dam roads :)
