At least then, I'm in good company...
    Thanks. Same to you all.

Unfortunately, though, I'm home tending to my wife after a 7 day
hospital visit (burst appendix and subsquent peritonitis). And to top it
off, my foot swelled up on Wednesday from an inflammation.

Two old cripples trying to look after each other....

Luckily I'm not religious. Otherwise I would've thought; "what a fucked
Easter this is.". But I did manage to do an overtime yesterday,
    though...

I'm not sure that it's always good that the truth (and of in itself and
alone) is a defence against libel actually.

It should really be something like "the truth and in the public interest".

Let us hypothosize that a company decided to publish a web site that
listed all *tries to think of a suitable example* gay marriages and
registered relationships. They could claim that it's 'truthful' but the
information in that format could be used by unscrupulous individuals and
companies to discriminate in a way which was undetectible.

That might have the effect (even if it was found out) of damaging
employment prospects, housing prospects and similar. Yet a pure truth
defence would mean little to no chance of claiming damages.
