I've just been out on the RS for the first time in ages having cobbled in a
K100 coil, I'm in *excellent* humour thanks. Not even cold and it was the
first run for the new Dainese.

There was a discussion some time ago that posting relevant eBay links was
fine but the NG should be given a chance to buy at a fixed price first or at
the very least as part of the advert. Perhaps, if people agree, it could go
    into the FAQ?

I take your point entirely and I firmly believe in this, for several
reasons: I'd rather move my still-good-but-surplus gear on to
somebody I know that will likely give it a new home; there's a good
captive market here for bike-related gear; I'd trust a regular here to
pay the agreed price more than I would the average ebay monkey (viz
TOG's experiences); it is quicker and less hassle to move gear here
    than ebay ... etc.

And it is more sporting, innit - let yer mates have first bite at the
    cherry.

However, irregular or occasional posters may not feel the same - so
    **** 'em.

I've sold a fair amount of stuff and bought a fair amount from ebay; say
70 or 80 transactions. In these I've had two cancelled bids and I've
refused to ship stuff to the states once because it all got too
    complicated.

    I'd say ebay's pretty reliable.
More sporting, yes but not as lucrative.

Yes but this is the new G.Free leather I scored at NEC. Yeah I know it's not
MJK but it fitted off the shelf (miracle), CE armour and zip in thermal.
    <confused>
Or are you referring to a jacket owned by Pip?
