Just trying to get a rise really. I mean, as a Republican, surely you won't be taking a day off to celebrate a royal wedding?
We've already done the calculations at work. Bosses are muttering about restricting the number of people who've realised they can get a fortnight's holiday and only lose three or four working days.
I'd already got my request in and approved for the week between the Bank Holidays a month or so ago. Cue everyone jumping on the bandwagon today and getting rejected And I get a day back.
Most of the cunts I work with will want to have the mid-week off then work the second bank holiday at double time and a day off in lieu.
FFS. Nor mine. I make it quite clear that while my employer may not be able to cope with next year, the rest of the world can and I'll be having those days off.
That's what I've done. I've told my boss about taking the days off and it's up to him to sort out the bureaucratic side of it whenever.
