Seems our resident KTM owning engineer can shop till he drops. Bumped
in to Mr B and Addie at the bike show carrying an almost impossibly
huge pile of purchases. Seems the economy has been officially kick
    started!

I think we tried our best to do something for the economy but I'm not
sure if it worked or not.

A couple of crash helmets, a couple of jackets, some heated clothing,
even more luggage and a few bits and pieces isn't that bad is it?

I also visited TTS and Big CC to see what can be done to make my 10R
go a bit faster. One of the Ohlins reps on the Harris stand gave me a
price for the required parts to try and keep the plot on the road but
then it went to shit when I booked a test ride on an MV.

It's also worth noting that apparently it's a buyers market so my 10R
is worth between £3.8 and 4.8k if I strip all the toys off it and
somewhere over £4.5k if I leave it as it is at the moment. The best
part is that the guy on the MV stand who was giving me the price said
that if I could afford it I should keep the 10R because Kawasaki will
never make a better sports bike...

This was purely the opinion of a salesman who'd raced superstocks for
a few seasons and did tend to think that to be a good sports bike it
had to be capable on a race track and a scarey bastard on the road.

He also said that because of emissions regs all bike manufacturers
would struggle to maintain the current level of performance without
handing over a second exhaust system with every new bike so the owner
could change it a soon as they'd taken the bike out of the showroom.

And to think that people laughed at Harley Davidson.
