Bordeaux

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Carmichael, Dec 20, 2006.

  1. Anyone from around here live in the Bordeaux area? A bit of advice about
roads etc. may be required as I'm driving up there on Saturday for a few
days. Obviously I know I won't be able to get any fuel on Sunday.

I would have said a few beers would be in order, but apparently there's
no bars out in the sticks. Gulp!

I've got a place near Bordeaux. Well, only about 100 miles away. Is
    that close?

As Bruce said, on the autoroutes you should be fine and close to and in
    Bordeaux.

  7. Been a couple of times, but no expert on the roads.

But, if you're not a vegitarian and you fancy the best steak you've ever
tasted the you must visit Viandocks, 51, quai de Paludate
    Bordeaux 33800 France.

Its a butchers during the day, and converts into a restaurant in the
    evenings.

All the meat is left out and you wander up to the counter and point at what
    you want.

They then cook it there in front of you.

Been a couple of times and had a t-Bone the first time and steak tartar the
second time - fabulous place - can't rate it enough.
