I'm going to be in Galashiels on Friday night, for a rugby match[1], if
anyone else is going[2] let me know and we could meet up for a drink.
Look for the rather large gentleman in the Gloucester shirt.

Additionally, I'll be making my way home on Saturday: anyone up that way
fancy meeting up for lunch or something like that?

I'll be up in Edinburgh for another one on the 19th.

[1] Under-21 Rugby World Cup, Wales vs Russia and England vs New Zealand.
[2] Only a tenner for both games.

I'll be up in John O Groats that night if you fancy popping up after the
    match.

Ta. I'll bear it in mind. I'll 'phone first if I'm going to turn up.

Hm. That's still quite a way further. What are you doing up there, anyway?

If I can get the fucking thing bolted back together again in time. I've
never known a fork seal let go in quite such a flamboyant way.

And of course being a Harley, fixing it is not as straightforward as it
would be on a motorcycle - the fork has to be assembled before you can
put the seal in rather than putting the seal into the lower leg and then
inserting the stanchion; the drift has to be hollow and fit outside the
stanchion so the trusty CX500 carburettor cannot be used :-(

Indeed. Gyp, would you like to borrow the Drifter?

    Good point. Let me rephrase:

Gyp, would you like to borrow the Z200? It's black, it's noisy, it vibrates
like buggery, it won't go over 75mph, the saddle lets you feel the frame
with your bum, the pegs are too far (and not enough) forward, and the
pillion pegs are on the swing arm. It should fit right in.

Oh, and it's got a 1.9 gallon tank.

Best plan is probably white plastic waste pipe from the plumbing end of your
    local B&Q.

Whenever you want. I've got an oil & filter change to do, then I don't
/actually need/ it until Chimay next month.

    Arghhh, FERRY!

What time have you booked? The last thing I can recall is 'around' 2pm
from Dover. Everything else is camping, no Hotels to worry about?

Statto's booked a hotel in Cambrai for the Friday night. I'll check what's
exactly what there this evening when I have more time.

Ferrywise, the Chunnel has a £50 (for bikes) return offer on atm, conditions
are that the outward journey is after 1400 and the return is before 1400
(local), doesn't seem to be a limit on number of days away. This is the
option I'm considering, but I haven't booked anything yet.

More details would be much appreciated. I sort of remember this but I'd
become distracted as events at work shave taken over a little.

I'll have a poke about in my emails on this mztech account as I've a
    feeling they came through here...

Sounds like a good plan to me.

TBH, GTCTC, El Comfo would be a far better option. And it looks more
    like a Harley. Sort of.
