BOSM tents and stuff.

Just for those that are camping and can't be arsed to lug a tent all the way
from wherever they're coming from, the ASDA at Spondon, just outside Derby
and about 15-20 mins ride from the BH max, has 2 3 and 4 person tents
ranging from under a tenner to about 20-odd quid.

Seems like a good job to me so I splashed out a tenner on a 'disposable'
tent for the BOSM - I'll take it down when I'm done and, if it's any good,
save it, if not then ten quid for a 'roof' for 3 nights ain't bad before it
gets binned.

Just might be easier than lugging a decent one all the way from wherever
people live only for it to get covered in spew.... Or worse.

PS If people ask nicely and promise to pay up I may even be persuaded to buy
a load of 'em for others and ship them to the BH on Friday.....

 

A friend of mine does this, from the way he tells it more because of a
lack of enthusiasm caused by excess booze consumption than an actual
plan. I've no idea if he's managed to find tents as cheap as £10.

 

Good call - will pop up to my ASDA at lunch time and see if they're
obliging enough. I could really do with a smallish packsize tent for
bike events anyway.
