Why are fancy front ends unsuitable for a sportsbike?
The telescopic fork really is a crap idea and any other
design should be lighter and give better control of the
front wheel. Just because most implementations of odd
front ends are on lardibusses doesn't mean that it can't
    be done properly.

I used to think that but in fact the controlled dive and flex of a top
quality telescopic front end are just what a sprotbike wants.

My hiccups finally stopped when a beautiful lady offered me a Hogs'
Zantac, so I gave late lunch a miss and headed off.

First time out on the bike for months. After 300 miles and five hours I
felt as though I'd been severely whipped by Max Mosleys Gestapo outfit
    wearing whores.

Got lucky with the weather, light rain for the first 40 miles, dry after
that, the sun and crystal clear blue skies appeared after Newcastle. The
    wind was bitterly cold.

Stopped at Alderstone services for fuel and couldn't resist having a
coffee at the "Purdy Lodge", especially as a bright yellow Mustang
    pulled up.

Got talking to a Swedish couple who were on a short break riding a Honda
Deauville. Is it normally this cold at this time of year was their
question, my answer was no, it's normally at least one or two degrees
    warmer.

Thanks to Jackie for the organising. Mu and the Black Horse Inn for
letting me have a second slice of cake.

It was good to see a few familiar faces, I probably would have spoken to
the unfamiliar faces but somehow I had guzzled a bottle of wine or two
and was having a problem mingling.

I did learn something new, it was something to do with piercings, but I
    can't quite remember exactly what.

I also got a cuddle from strange girl before she set off home. Not sure
if it was the leathers she was wearing but it gave me a warm glow.

That's definitely the cobwebs dusted off, looking forward to the next one.

I always carry a few to drinking events and take them before kick off.
Sir will be wanting a nice electrically heated clothing option. I had to
stop at Sheffield and turn the heat down, I was too warm.

Or a decent waterproof oversuit - my trust HG one is utterly water and
windproof, just a pain to get in and out of.

I remember now, who would have guessed that earings are piercings.
It's all coming back now, it might have been my imagination but I'm
pretty sure you could go up several sizes with those nipple rings.

    They were bars, not rings.

I'm thinking of getting Jeweller to make me some nipple shields like
    minature Brembo brake disks.

Sue wearing them as earings should keep me going now that I've sobered up.
