Very pleasant bimble out this morning, but a tad chilly.

Special mention has to go to Sweller for making that fucking old Guzzi go
much faster than it has any right to.

    New numbers:
    Winging Courier #157
    BGN #158

"Dan L" hit the keyboard with...
Nice run. I must try to get along more often. Sorry I had to leave so
quickly. Typical student though - having asked for a lift a 2pm he decided
to go on a later train after all.

The cold and wet on the way down made me wonder why I'd bothered when
I got to the H&J. Dried out nicely though and I thoroughly enjoyed
    it.
Well done guys especially BGN for the huge trek just to get another
    number for the sig )

    I want a CBR1000WC ltd edition version.

And riding from the rear (fnarr) BGN's cornering speed impressed me too -
especially considering level of experience. Overtakes are interesting mind
you - think he needs a bit more power :)
Just give him your GSX-R for a week ;-)

Twas a nice run out - as mentioned it's my licence's fourth birthday -
doesn't seem that long - can still remember every moment of the bloody test
    ..

Discovering I could carry a coffee on the Strom was a nice bonus :)

If Daz was on one then BGN did bloody well to stay in the same county.

I wasn't overly impressed with the damp patches hiding mid-corner when
I was on my way to Aylesbury but the day warmed up nicely and I
    enjoyed the ride.

Sweller really doesn't need to buy oil for his tractor, he just needs
a sponge and he can recycle all the oil spread over his back wheel.

Or as suggested, fit a funnel and do an "air-to-air" type top up from WC's
    bike.

Certainly two characters with equally characterful motorcycles ;-)

I think I'm going to buy myself a grinder. I see visions of hackage to
the front bracketry and the zorsts. I was going to remove the cans and
get a bit of ali pipe, the same diameter as the can pipe iykwim, and
have a pair of stubby exhausts, about a foot long each but I don't know
anyone with a pipe bender so I might just cut the end cans off and leave
    the pipe that supplies them[1].

[1] This is by no means certain but just another chapter in the
    development stakes.

Must have more power! I think everyone had about 100 more horses than
    me!
    Congratulations on your 4th birthday!
    Where did you put it?

My boots have enough oil on them to service at least one revolution of
sweller's bike engine. The rest is on the front of my bike and on me
    visor.
    It really hustles along.

It made me want to fucking cry in the carpark of the cafe. Despite all the
varied types of bikes (and there were quite a few there) the only one with a
circle of onlookers was the bloody ratblade.

The route was completely unfamiliar to me, I was dependent on watching
DanL to see how far he threw himself over as an indication of the bend
severity and other things. Everyone did their own ride - I like that.

Thanks go to WC for suggesting I go along, I'm glad I did. I'd never
planned on going to a 'FOT due to the prohibitive distance from my
chateau, but it was the least I could do because WC attended several
South Eastern bimbles and events even though it takes him hours to get
    down here.

For example, I've just calculated my route (Home > FOT > Home) and I
could have got from home to Frankfurt in the same number of miles. Or
I could get from home to Paris and back with miles to spare.

Lovely day out. Too fucking cold, damp bends, leaves falling from the
trees. Time to leave the country.
