If I wake up absurdly early like I keep doing, then probably. Otherwise
    probably not.

Tomorrow, I'll be mostly running 2.75 times around Thruxton race track,
having entered my first ever race.

Could've been doing with one yesterday - knees, thighs and groin were
    suffering.
    I'll try not to

Ah, the old thigh & groin massage - my speciality. Don't do knees
though - 'orrible things. I mean I'm sure they've got their place, but
let's face it, anywhere that close to the more 'interesting' parts is
never gonna get a look in.

  12. OP then. It was the Thruxton mention that made me think of mechanical
    devices.

Check out last week's horizon programme from the beeb. Either there is

I worked in one for a few years, fortunately it wasn't running at the
    time.

From the sounds of things, Blur wants to build a few more of them too.

Congrats. Now starts the long process of lightening the shoes, getting
the rest of the group to come and watch/help/bake cakes/etc...

Certainly does and indeed did. Well, we finished, we weren't last and we
got a finisher's medal each to prove we did it :)

<grins> Ta - must admit my running buddy and I are well chuffed with how we
did. We may not have set any records, but to find that we (me at 39 and he
at 51) were not the slowest (by a long chalk) has certainly done our
    confidence the world of good.
