Brake caliper question for the VFR-isti

As one of the calipers on the VFR is completely fucked including a bent
slider pin[1], I'm on the hunt for a RHS front caliper. Now mine's a
1995 'S' Model IIRC and I just came across the following calipers from
    a slightly earlier model:

Does anybody know if they're indeed the same? Given the actual value of
the bike and the delivery times of a caliper, I very much hesitate to
give Dave Silver 160-odd quid for a new one. I'm already spending far
too much money on that bike anyway.

    [1] Don't ask, just fucking don't, OK?

I can't even begin to imagine how. :)
    Even google doesn't know.

    Now I'm curious. How?

I know, I kept quiet about it. Let's just say that the caliper was
corroded onto the sliders. *Very* badly corroded onto the sliders. And
it didn't come off in a square fashion, either.

Bummer. That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, there someone in Jockland
who supposedly sells just the caliper I need...

Can I just say "ouch" and leave it at that?

Heh. I used slightly stronger wording than that.
