How do you calculate the 4 times? Given that the surface area of the
pistons is near as dammit the same surely that means to move by 0.5mm
you'll need near as dammit the same amount of fluid?

    And me.
It's like child birth, you forget how fucking awful it was.

I think I may go with WUN's plan.

You're such a wimp. How fucking awful was it? Not very, even the bad bits.
    I had a great time.

You do realise he's probably got several unpublished plans, many of
which involve you taking your clothes off, & some of which probably
    involve vegetables?

In all honesty the journey from the elefantreffen to the motorway was
some of the hardest riding I've ever done. It didn't help when the bike
started to misbehave... (water in the fuel filter icing up and reducing
    the flow through the filter?)

I was very happy to get onto the motorway and even happier to get to the
    hotel.

Those ones are published; if published means he's shared the 'script'
    with others for comment.

It's the ones he doesn't publish that involve the cellar he's built
under his workshop I'd worry about.

If you let me have your e-mail addy, I'll send you a calculation sheet
showing the working. It is difficult to do this using text only
    newsreader format.

I have a hydraulics "Ready Reckoner" set up in Excel for pressures,
volumes, flows, etc that I use when teaching fluid power or building
    hydraulic circuits.

Can you build me a hydraulic front wheel drive for my Tiger please? I
can pay up to 10 whole pounds & an un-sucked (yes, you did read that
    right - *un-sucked*) Werthers.

Was this because of the snow? The roads were mostly clear by the time we
    got going.
I didn't think it was cold enough for that sort of thing. It must be said
that the VFR was utterly rock-solid reliable for the whole trip.
Getting the VFR and the Pan up the road was hard work, but I was in "I will
do this if it fucking kills me" mode. At one point, I thought I was going
    to have a heart attack.

I was a bit cold by the time we got to the A3, but I threw a lot of food
down my neck at the services and warmed up okay, although I was slightly
worried that I might start to doze off. I was concerned that Mike was still
very cold, and falling behind. I know he was taking it easy, but it was
getting dark and the traffic was building up.

There was nothing wrong with the fucking.
    It was cold and wet.
So did I. With great consequences. I think I'm happier now than I've
ever been in my entire life.

You'd have been better waiting for the snowploughs. Mind you, it was a bit
hairy even then. We sent LN off first, on the rationalisation that, if she
went last and fell off, there'd be no-one to pick her up. On the first
couple of bends, I was hoping that, if I did go down, I could get clear of
the bike before it slid under the armco and down the slope.
It does sound like a fuel flow issue.

I'm having a brew before leaving for work and there's no way I'm
going outside to check the radius now. I've left the gearing alone but
you didn't really expect any different did you?
I know. There's always the primus rally in Norway but it's not really
far enough north to make it entertaining.

We could always do the Krystaltreffen and just stay an extra day
somewhere else doing our own special ukrm idiot rally?
