I assume the caliper (MotoGP developed non-opposed twin piston) is
only supposed to move in and and out along the two slidy rod things,
not slightly backwards and forwards as well?[1]

Also, I guess there shouldn't be too much movement between the caliper
bracket and the fork leg - even allowing for the activation of the
    "anti-dive" gubbins.

Oh, and a "Top Tip": keep Cillit Bang away from the rubber boot things
that are supposed to keep the slidy rod things clean - unless you want
them to resemble a couple of lumps of "Blak-Tack". :(

Ho hum - more expense, I suppose.

[1] I'd estimate it to be less than 1mm, but it feels bloody awful
through the lever. Feels like the head bearings are loose, in fact.

How about this for odd: took it all apart, and cleaned it, then
refitted it, and it doesn't do it anymore.

Now, I can understand that making movement more smooth, but not
    eliminating the movement. How odd.

And yes, before anyone asks - the caliper bracket *was* firmly
attached before I took it off. It need three grunts to get the 6mm
    allen bolt undone.
