Brake sponginess revisted

    Looks like the cable tie trick worked. Having been able to pull it back to
    the bar, to now about 20mm travel.

    How does that work then?

    ISTR, it's something to do with the fluid having become aerated through
    normal use; small bubbles form in the fluid and you end up compressing
    those rather than the fluid. Tying the lever back keeps pressure in the
    system and (hopefully) forces the little bubbles back to the reservoir.

    Might also indicate a need to add a little fluid.

    Swhat I heard, but doesn't seem to mesh with my limited knowledge of fluid

  7. I've heard it's because the bubbles ascend the pipe and go thrugh the
    valve into the m/cylinder but wibbleflip.
