Breakers/Pattern Parts.

  1. I need some bits for a K1 Bandit 1200.

Can anyone recommend a BIke Breaker either in the Dorking or Southend
(or slightly wider) area that might have a K1 B12 in ATM? I want to
physically go to the place and actually look at the parts before I buy.

(I've often been offered stuff in breakers that's actually scuffed
worse than the kit I'm trying to replace)

Can anyone recommend a decent source of *good quality* pattern Clutch
    levers for the bike.

Also what other bikes have the same indicators/clutch lever as the K1
    B12?

What sort of fucked up world is it that lets you put a bike apparently
securely on the sidestand; walk away; come back and then fall down when

    you're *almost* within catching distance.

    Rusty says...
That would be the one good reason not to buy one, aside from the
    Bulldog's other numerous failings.

  3. Just buy genuine - I mean, by the time you've farted about trying to
locate a pattern item of unknown quality, it'll have cost you more than
the price of a new OE one.

    It's only a lever, FFS.

  4. I take your point but it's £35.

I agree with TOG - I tried to source pattern parts for my Bandit after I
damaged the front & rear indicator arms and lenses. Once postage had
been factored-in they'd have been a few quid *more* expensive then
    genuine parts from a dealer.

So I bought genuine bits, avoided postage costs, avoided the hassle of
when/whether they would arrive from an unknown supplier, avoided the
possibility of stuff being damaged in the post, and ended up saving
    money over buying pattern parts.

I got one from BanditMania (www.banditmania.co.uk) for under £15,
    IIRC.

  7. You forgot: "Avoided the hassle of whether or not the pattern parts
    would actually fit...."
