Have you ever attended a briefing, lecture, training session or some other
event where information is being imparted you and the person doing the
imparting provides some supplementary information to reinforce their point?

If so, did you use that information as it was intended or did you go telling
tales to all and sundry about something that was supposed to be kept
    private?

It might be worth spending some time thinking about that Dave. :)

How about something nice and simple, such as "Don't ride/drive like a ****
otherwise you end up like this poor bastard"?

What about the people who are involved in your demise who may have no wish
    to be?

So why show them that specific photograph?

Brunstrom wanted publicity. He obviously expected the journalists to
report what they had seen. Why show them something he didn't want them
    to report?

Yup. Some of them might even have died in road accidents.

Plenty of people who thought that are indeed dead. Probably some from old
age, others perhaps from cancer. And, yes, some from road accidents.

Not where the supplementary information was confidential, no.
It was Mr Brunstrom that showed the photograph, which was supposed to be
kept private, to a room filled with journalists.

OK, Kev - thank you for that information.

I presume the head on crash happened due to the biker being on the wrong
side of the road because he was overtaking, or was he straight-lining a
bend? Either way, that seems to indicate it was his fault.

His reported speed of 95 mph would inevitably make the outcome bad, but
even if he'd been within the speed limit of 60 mph, things might not
    have been much better.

As for the tee-shirt, well I have to admit it doesn't show the best
attitude, but that does not, of itself, mean that he's automatically at
fault in the event of a crash.

    Best wishes all,
    Dave.

    Brimstone says...
If you want things kept private, the last people you should give the
information to are journalists. Brunstrom must have been off his head to
think that journos would keep something as controversial as this out of
the public domain, even more so given that most motorists and the
general public despise him and his ludicrous ideas.

I'd consider that to be a serious lack of judgement, and do the people
of North Wales really need a man with such a failing in charge of their
police force - I think not.

Brunstrom is a self-serving and publicity seeking liablity.

Hang on a minute, Kev. Those photographs showed *possible* results, not
from speeding, but from dangerous, or at least unsafe, driving/riding.

    Best wishes all,

I'm inclined to feel that our road safety environment would actually be
safer if more people were to seek enjoyment and fun from their
driving/riding. This means thinking more about what they're doing, and
cultivating suitable styles that are appropriate to the circumstances.
It does not mean tearing about at high speed in a reckless fashion at
all times - which is how Kev maybe thinks we get our fun.

    Best wishes all,
    Dave.
