ITV has apparently landed the contract to show the BSB races live for 06
and 07. Races will be shown on ITV1, possibly even on the day. Good news
for those without the Sky Sports channels.

Does that means *without* mid-race ads?

    Non Wide Screen
Lots of adverts, just at the important times
Crap presenters reading parrot fashion from cue cards
but, like you say, better than nothing

Why, can't you receive ITV then?

Well, on BBC2 it was 10 mins of inane banter, with maybe 10 minutes for
each race. I'm optimistically hoping for something better.

If they've landed the contract to show them live then I'd fucking
expect them to be on the day. At the same time as well.

I think Sky losing the contract to ITV is one of the worst things that
could happen to anyone who enjoys watching the racing.

Let's not forget that there's a World Cup this summer and I can't see
ITV prioritising bike racing over football if there's a clash between
the two. BBC have fucked around when they were supposed to be showing
bike racing and I can't see ITV being any different.

I'm also confused by Switters when he says they're showing them "live"
and then he says "possibly even on the day". That can't be copied from
    a statement by ITV.

It's because I actually said that they have the *contract* to show them
live. Further qualifying remarks were born out of cynicism, so no, the
    ITV never said that. Imagine.

The actual article I read is
