I'm watching the BTCC as part of my "stuck on the couch all day and night
working on this late software project" background relaxation. I've never seen
it before. It's absolutely bloody excellent! I'd watch this over F1 any day.
/Really/ close, aggressive racing, offs, mistakes, contact, and the cars look
    like cars!

  2. I agree; I've been following BTCC for a three or four seasons now. But
then, after following F1 for the best part of a couple of decades, I'd
now watch virtually *any* motorsport over F1. F1 is a comedy sport -
the most interesting thing that's happened in the past 6 or 7 years is
Max Mosely getting caught fucking some whores in POW outfits, which
would barely make the "In other news..." section for any other type of
    racing.

It's worth going to a BTCC race meet or two also. We're talking about
30 or 40 quid tops and you are almost guaranteed some quality race
    action.

On the Sundays when the racing is on, it's live on ITV4 (Freeview 28 here) -
for 5 hours, including the Clio Cups/Seat Leons/Formula Renualt etc support
races - the coverage is brilliant as well.

Although the next one appears to be Live BTCC only - not the support - with
just 3 hours coverage split into 2 shows. The Clio Cup racing is also very
exciting, as the grids are packed with a good 30 or so cars, which are all
identical, and all the drivers are young and willing to take risks heh!

They're at Snetterton next, I might try and get up there.

Ooh, a same-thread ginge by me just now.
I'll definitely try to make some time for that, or better still getting to a
    live round or two.

I've done Donington and Thruxton this year , and will try and make it to
Oulton Park assuming the weather isn't too bad.

£20-25 a ticket is pretty good value for money IMO

  8. The Ginetta Juniors are pretty good - always punting each other off
    the track. :-D

ITV4 have definitely got it right showing the whole days racing at
these - much better than the dreary build up / procession of F1.
