    Saturday 10 March
Buell Day at Black Bear, Newmarket

Don't listen to the prejudiced bastards or the roseate bespectacled
    apologists on this group.

    Be empirical.

The haemorrhoids, the detached retinas the mortifying heartbreak of
roads strewn with Buellish bits... accurate or apocryphal?

Come to the Buell Day and talk to gen u wine honest t' god owners.

Get the horror stories straight from a Buelligan's mouth.

"Saturday 10 March UKBEG Buell Day at Black Bear with a gathering from
the Buell Enthusiasts Group arriving at around 10.30am and a rideout
    planned for 12.30pm.

We will have demo rides (bring your full license and ID), refreshments
and special one-off bargains on the day!"

Blimey, on the defensive, are you? You have self esteem problems? Tell
    me about your mother.
Accurate. (Do I win a prize?)
FFS, that's almost as bad as being called an "Associate" or "Motorolan"
    instead of an "Employee"

I'm sure you've got plenty of horror stories to tell, knowing the
    reliability of Buells.
Well, I suppose that's a (private) add and a half. Have fun.

I respect you for putting your case forward and quite naturally you should
stick up for your brand. I have no comments to make about Buells except they
sound nice. Many people seem to believe that a Buell is a sporting Harley
but that's an oxymoron, especially with that engine.

Good luck on your open day.

Sorry. I didn't write that very well.

I was just trying to let people know that if they were curious about
Buells, there is an opportunity to ride them and talk to people who own
    them.

I should have made it clear that I have no association with UKBEG and
none with Black Bear other than I bought my bike there.

    Apologies,
    Tom

  11. Use of that term really irritates me, for some reason. Even more so when
the letter s is replaced by $

  15. Oh, some prat on rmt who uses the term $tealer$ship all the time and who
    posts the most amazing bollocks.

Just recently, we were discussing diesel engines, and why they weren't
taken up in the UK and, inter alia, he stated that one reason why Europe
bought them and the US didn't was because Europe didn't have earthquakes
    and mountains a la California.

That was followed by by an assertion that there were more commercial
vehicles than private ones in the UK.

Etc etc.... Google for the 'US Bull' thread and the 'Modern diesels'
that morphed from it, if you're bored.

I do miss my old gixxer but 5 years is long enough to keep a bike and it was
time for a change. Suzuki don't make a girls version of the Thou but
Kawasaki made a girls version of the 10R.
