    Just out of interest,
    Who's ridden a RC30, Ow01, 916?

*Big* first gear, but otherwise ok., I was into the first ZXR750's at
the time, and I liked them better. And the FZR1000exups too...heh

And wrote test reports on each for the motoring supplement of the local
    daily newspaper.

I hope you were wearing appropriate safety equipment, Paul.

Actually, you're now my hero, I think.

So does that mean I'm a safety nazi **** by association?

  9. Is it Bladerunner appreciation day or something? That's the second
    reference I've heard/read today.

  10. The 150 N life vest kept getting wedged between the sides of the bath,
which made getting in and out difficult, so I gave up and started
taking a shower. Then I read about the number of people killed through
slipping in the shower and fracturing their skulls...
I'll chalk that up as yet another insult, by association, I have earned
    from Bear. :)

    RC30 and a 996. Will that do?

The answer is obvious - wear a helmet in the shower.

  13. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Champ
With the obvious added advantage that by vigorous polishing with a soapy
sponge, your helmet would end up beautifully clean.

Not ridden an OW01 yet, but had a 25 mile ride of an RC30 to help a mate
run it in before he race prepped it, and ridden numerous 748/916/996/998
variants. The RC30 was sublime, I loved the Ducatis too. My boss has a
brand spanking new OW01 sitting in the showroom doing nothing. Another
mate has a rough and ready track-day only OW01 that I might be able to
blag a session on, if me and him meet at a trackday sometime and swop
    bikes.

  17. Yes, a shower mat, but I've just thrown it out because on ukrm advice
I'm switching to wearing my old Arai and a full compliment of back,
shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and shin protectors. Keeping clean can be a
    risky business, you know. ;-)
It was the "by association" that I used to make the link back to me:
Blaney associates with, so does that make him the same? I know you
don't throw insults around frivilously, which is why receiving one -
even in an indirect and unintentional manner - is all the more
    rewarding. :))

Christ, I've been rewarded many times in my life, but I wouldn't count
having any insult thrown at me by Bear as one of those times.

  19. Well, Bear always says he admires the way I can tell someone to f***
    off without appearing insulting. :)

  20. I've moved on from telling people to f*** off without appearing
insulting. Now it's GBH simply by depressing a few keys on my
    keyboard... <:->
