Mine goes in the garage forwards, so it gets wheeled out backwards and
that ensures that the side-stand always gets pushed down, rather than
    up.[1]
I've had this bokmarked for a while, but have yet to do anything about
    it. http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en/

Let me know who you get on! Or use Beav's services )

    [1] If that hasn't "Murray Walker-ed" me, I don't know what will!

We have a sloped drive too, except the slope is *up* towards the garage.

The scratches are not worth painting the panel for; they fit into the
touch-up category. Champ's repairer of choice (who basically said that
he doesn't do touch ups just complete panels) said about £140 with the
    original stickers left in place.

I'll talk to the mob the local bike repairer of choice mentioned
tomorrow as apparently they have a good reputation for going a good job
of scratch (rather than panel) repair

Doesn't your drive slope down towards the garage? I'm sure that must
have contributed towards the bike having it's little rest.

Why the **** did I just reply to this thinking it was Gyp who'd posted
    it?

It's not as if you both have the same physical shape (1).

    (1) That's me making excuses for being stupid btw.

I knew what you meant Andy

My drive slopes uphill from the garage, and the bike was pointed uphill,
but across the drive a bit

The stand had been knocked back to just the perfect point that when I
lowered it on the stand it felt right then just eased itself forward.

The bike's in bits now. The new screen was dispatched from Germany today
and I pick up the new fairing bracket tomorrow (assuming it's straight).

M&P/Hel finally got the right hoses to me today and the tyres should be
here by the weekend, so I can see a little fettlefest coming on.

    I don't believe I've ever met Gyp[1], so wouldn't know.

Does he look like a Hobbit?

[1] A close call last Wednesday apparently, though.

Presumably that /was/ for touching it up, even though he doesn't do
that? Or has he got some way of spraying whole panels without re-doing
    the stickers?
I'd be interested to hear how you get on as I've got to get the MV's
    tank resprayed at some point.

Surely he doesn't leave the original stickers on when he does that
though, which is what Gyp said he'd do?

Tbh I wouldn't want that done with the MV anyway, being a limited
edition. I do treat it as a bike rather than a collector's piece as you
know, but that would take it too far away from original imo. The other
mods I've done are all reversible if I did ever sell it. Well apart
from the unintentional seat mod obviously...
