He was saying he'd mask the sticker, paint the panel and then lacquer
the whole thing so it would retain the original sticker but the sticker
would be under the lacquer rather than stuck on top.

Or he would do the full panel then stick on new stickers for an extra
    £50 or so

I use a hard nylon wheel/brush. Less chance of damage than a brass wheel.

Exactly. Trace the logo from the (undamaged) side onto a sheet of frisk and
transfer to the other (already repaired and base coated) side, then cut the
outline with a frisk knife and paint to suit.

Remove the frisk, wallop the whole panel with lacquer and **** it off back
    to the ****^H^H^H..customer.

They've been taught how to by carb diaphragms.

On. I fitted one about 20,000 miles ago. He doesn't blip his throttle when
changing down though and I have a feeling that's part of the problem.

First words out of my mouth at the time :) He was suitably depressed for the
    rest of the day.
I don't know if this is a good thing or an indication of my riding, but I've
NEVER adjusted my chain between tyre changes. I'm still on the original
chain and sprox and they all seem to be in good fettle too. (18,000 miles)

I do know that when the time comes to replace, they'll all be replaced by
Kwaks own and not any of the aftermarket stuff.

Kawasaki don't make their own chain, they buy it in from DID. Original
chain isn't usually the higher quality you can buy over the counter at
your local shop. The Versys' chain is a DID VM, there is a stronger DID
ZVM available for a few quid more. You don't seriously think they put
expensive chain on at factory do you, when they'll spend thousands of
yen developing a method of saving 3 yen per bike's build cost?

Precisely the same state as it arrived.

Needs clutch doing, carb linkage and a battery.

I don't remember anything being wrong with the clutch, but I for sure
if needs a gear-lever linkage too.

So now it has all these faults, how much to take it off your hands? Take
to e-mail so I don't get in a bidding war with Lozzo?
