Nice, innit?
As I was only visiting very briefly, I wasn't able to see the place at its peak. I thought the beer was rather pleasant though - it always tastes better when you aren't paying for it.
The beer? Fairly palatable. The bar? No decent women, but the ability not to fall over because you're stuck to the floor is a bonus.
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Ben Oh god yes, after the third or fourth pint it was *fine*. Heh. I wonder if they ever get it cleared up, or does next year's spillage just add to the patina? A mildly confused-looking bloke[1] wandering around in his underpants was slightly amusing, although the coppers having a quiet word didn't look impressed... [1] Did anyone else think he looked like Bear's son?
