All good, you won't go wrong with any of 'em. VTR is probably cheaper to
repair if you drop it being naked

    Sumoto does not rate.

All the bikes are good but the VTR will be easier to live with especially if
you drop it due to a lack of plastics.

Whatever you buy, unless you are made of money, don;t buy new. It's like
dropping thousands of dollars into a bucket of burning $^%$ as you walk out
    the dealer door.

Save the new sheikels for your second or third bike .... plenty of good used
250's to make the simple mistakes on like standing on oil as you park in the
    garage.

Better yet, spend the money you saved by buying damn good riding gear.

I didn't take mine as far as BTH took the Jackal, but it managed
Adelaide to Brisbane OK, and a fair bit of gravel and sand carrying
several days camping kit and supplies.

Mind you, riding an MZ does mean you find more interesting roads to
tour on, unless you like slipstreaming trucks.

    A terrible defamation!

Built from recycled T34 tanks, they didn't rust. Of the 3 I've had
much to do with, they are all still going, and no rust.

You can't find 'em cos the owners aren't selling.

In all honesty, I've ridden a lot of 250, and the VTR is the pick of
them. Torquey for a 250 and good all rounder. I owuldn't go for a ZXR
or CBR as a road 250. Get an R6 or R1 when you're unrestricted so save
    for then.

The VTR250 is about the best 250 available.

yea it seams to be a very popular bike and it does look good to
considering it is just a 250, hoping someone is keen on selling one in
a couple of months, not to keen on buying a new one as i will only keep
it for a couple or yrs.
