Buying from USA

Any here tried it ?

I found a good place for prices but shipping ruined it. Found a place more
expensive but shipping was reasonable and now have a Balham Leather jacket
for a bit over half price. Have also ordered a Longhaul touring seat for the
t/bird....will have the seat before the bike


you are allowed $1,000 through customs without having to pay anything and if
these 2 items arrive a set of short TOR's ( triumph off road pipes ) will be
ordered

 

So, are you going to share your good fortune with everyone?

price. USPS has various classes of postage which vary in price greatly.
A lot of sellers will only quote you for priority postage because this
is the postage which they use for domestic orders. 1st class
international postage is much cheaper and you can expect door to door
delivery of 7-8 business days. If the seller's postage kills the deal,
email them and ask if they will ship 1st class international and get
them to quote on that.

If you're getting a jacket shipped, you might also ask them to remove
the shoulder and elbow guards and back protectors and include these
separately because without these being fitted in jacket fit into a much
smaller parcel.

Here's some info on the USPS website. (I just followed some links and
found that first class mail only applies to packages under 2kg.)

jacket I love and the seat is big ... now to wait for the bike to arrive
