Studied one on the w/e, up close 'n' personal.
It'll be either this or a beemer Independent in
    a few months.

What's the general take on Suzuki bikes and
    reliability?

  2. The recurring problem theme with the GS model Suzukis (at the very
least) is electrical problems - normally stator or regulator/rectifier.
Can be prevented by ensuring that EVERYTHING is very well earthed and
kept reasonably cool. I've been told that keeping the engine oil level
up to the full mark can assist in stator longevity too.
