Hi all, not been on here for some time.

The old AGV is getting a bit ratty, so I am looking at getting a new
helmet. Been looking at the flip open Cabergs and was wondering if
anyone had any experience (good or bad) with them?

I have had two in the past 5 years. Latest is a Justissimo Gt. Unlike
R C Nesbitt mine were both really comfortable, quiet and build quality
seemed to be quite good. Lozzo will be along in a moment to tell you
they are complete crap. Each to their own.

If you are a glasses wearer the flip front is brilliant for putting
    helmets on.

Go try one on and make your own mind up

When I was looking last time I considered the Caberg and it just felt
light and flimsy compared to the Lazer Revolution Modular from GLF.
IIRC, Graham lightened my wallet to the tune of 155 quids 2 years ago,
    delivered.

I had exactly the same on mine, but mine was around the jaw area. None of my
Shoei's have ever nipped at all.

Ok, but noisy, although it can be reduced to bugger all by stopping the air
getting up under the chin "bar" I added a rubber shield to the already
installed rubber shield, but the addition has no holes in like the original
    one does.

Great flip down internal visor and the vents work well enough.

Some people have said they let water in, but that's not been my experience.

Like Ian I was introduced to the Lazer Revolution by Graham, have used
it for a number of years now and find it really good. The face mask
is excellent and stops virtually all misting up either on the visor or
specs. Yes can be noisy but I believe that's the case with flip fronts
and a good pair of earplugs sorts it.

Wow - a real voice from the past - and I only quoted one of your posts
about hard chroming the other day...
I don't like them much - they felt a bit cheap and nasty to me - instead
    I bought one of these
    http://www.bigbikebook.com/14432/HJC-FS-Max-Flip-Front-Helmet-
    Anthracite.html

which seems fine - quieter than my old Lazer Revolution too.

Blimey that was an old post - with my VERY old email address (even the
one showing here is old but Google Groups won't let me change it for
    some reason).
Okay, thanks all for your advice - will look at the lazer and HJC as
    well.
