The championship finished at Cadwell yesterday, and luckily it
stayed dry for one of the first times ever.

Qualified in 8th place on a 1:54 lap time, and had a lovely battle
in Race One, keeping in 6th place for all but the last 3 corners
where I got well and truly mugged to end up in 7th place but
with a new personal best of 1:51.72s.

Race Two was less eventful and I ended up by myself in 6th
place. The race was cut from 8 laps to 6 due to stoppages
    as well.

    The standings are:

    1 Dominic Cann (23) 439
    2 Ian Leah (42) 290
    3 Tim Howard (5) 278
    4 Antony Espindola (111) 271
    5 Alastair Bisson (7) 268
    6 Andrew Johnson (36) 241
    7 Nick Boustead (34) 224
    8 Eric Howe (69) 222
    9 Peter Yates (9) 219
    10 Kyle Hinton (66) 207

BUT... because we have to drop our two worst rounds
from the season, the final standings are:

    1 Dominic Cann (23) 400
    2 Ian Leah (42) 290
    3 Alastair Bisson (7) 268
    4 Tim Howard (5) 261
    5 Andrew Johnson (36) 241
    6 Antony Espindola (111) 239
    7 Nick Boustead (34) 224
    8 Kyle Hinton (66) 207
    9 Richard Thirkettle (74) 198
    10 Eric Howe (69) 197

So I've finished the 2006 championship in 6th place, which
is not a bad position given it's only my second season.

The next few months will mostly be spent stripping the bike
to make a few modifications, before starting again in 2007.

Ah yes, I hadn't forgotten about that, honest!

Although, it might not be of use to me. We learnt over the
weekend that the later ie wheels are the ones to have
because they are a bit lighter - about 2/3 of the weight
of the older wheels. You tell the different because the
spokes go from fat at the hub to thin at the edge on the
light wheels, but stay constant fat on the old ones.

We've got one light one on the rear so I need to find
a light front one. And a six speed gearbox. And an
APTC slipper clutch. And about 5 seconds a lap.

I'll let you know when I'm next round your way anyway :)
