Cadwell.

  1. Anyone from here doing a track day at Cadwell on the 6th Sept? Actually
while I'm here, anyone done one before and if so what's it like? I hear the
    mountain can be entertaining.

  2. I've done three track days there in the past. Never had the nerve to
hold it all the way open over the mountain though..

Last time I went my RGV lost a brand new chain, which ripped through the
sump and soaked the track. Thankfully no-body came off (me included),
but I did get more than a few black looks!

It's a great track but takes a long time to dry if it's been raining, as
the water from the hillside washes across the main straight.

The top of the circuit's my favourite bit, three right handers before
going left and down into the Gooseneck. Don't much care for the tight
wooded section after the mountain though.

  5. £89.00, can't remember who through as my mate has booked it. Might be this
site: http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/cadwell-park.htm but they say it's
£99.00 although I wouldn't have thought two companies would have the same
day? I'll find out for sure and and post back.

The Gooneck is great but I find I can catch up people even better on
the fantastic 'flicks' after the mountain - hill climber territory!

  9. I was shit through there, even on a flickable RGV. The corner on to the
main straight (Park?) was fun though, I could take that really tight and
pass people going wide. Outbraking four bigger bikes at a time into the
right-hander at the end of the back straight was always good for a
laugh, but they'd all have me half a lap later on the main straight again.
