After lots of mails flying around the distribution lists here at work
about the supposed SPECS cameras on the M4, one of the monkeys here has
    just reported ...

"If you use the M4 , the local constabulary must be running short of
funds again. They have set up some temporary speed cameras on the M4
eastbound between Junction 10 and Junction 8/9. They are not very easy
to spot and they take pictures from the front, hence no flash .........."

He describes them as being cameras on poles with blue hoods (like a rain
hat), one for each lane, a set for each direction.

Anyone know wtf these are? They don't sound like speed cameras to me, not
least because there are no signs up warning of them in the area. I might
pop down and have a look for myself at lunchtime. Could they be ANPR
again? Or Thames Valley Police making the most of the paranoia over the
not-actually-SPECS cameras and putting the shits up people again?

Trafic master, they're all over the country on most major routes, but
if you hardly ever leave the south you wouldn't know that.

Have just been down there to have a look and I reckon it's our good friend
    ANPR out for a day-trip.

    My colleague is a twat.
