Some pics of our Dec 13-16 trip out to Del Rio and back up through the Hill
Country. These particular pics are Camp Wood, and area between Camp Wood and
Leakey. Sorry I made it so large, dialup may take awhile. I will break the
remainder pics down (maybe) and post later.

As many of you know, the thing about the route is that you get to see and
experience just about all that riding has good to offer.

I thought it was important to get that info out right away.

Sure he does, how else do you think he can afford to live over there in
n.e., tx dressed up with that webtv apparatus.

Hopefully, I'll be back riding the hill country before long.

Many people, even native Texans don't realize that our state has such a
    variety
of scenery. Highways can be extreme twisties that rival Colorado and within
an hour, that same highway will look like a straight arrow.. Streams and
    rivers
cross and sometimes run parallel to the road. Yup.. I think we live in one
    of the
best of the best, as far as riding motorcycles are concerned..

Good ride and good report, Louie.. Enjoyed the pictures..

You're sure right. I had no idea of some of the sights.

We had several river crossings over those dry weather crossings.

Yup.. I think we live in one
    uh huh

Yes it is something to see, and on weekdays pretty much all to yourself
I was surprised to come around one of those curves and see the road wet. I'd
hate to come around about half wild on a sport bike and hit that. Have you
seen those roads sweating like that?

Louie, buddy, you can thank me later, no need to today. Why? You might
    ask?
    I'll tell ya why?
Cause Bjay, talked so much rhetoric about how he'd like to go to that
    area, to see what?
And apparently it motivated you to take a fairily long ride, to give a
    look.(its possible)

Texas is definitely on my list of places to ride to. Maybe next winter
I'll trailer the Venture far enough south to ride and then check out
    your corner of the world.

Well, can't speak to the Hill country roads sweating, but I have seen it
in the Sierra Nevada where I've been riding the last year.

It's more of a mind problem than a traction problem at the speeds I ride
(unless I'm chasing Wakko down the mountain).

Last spring I went around a corner and found a foot of snow:

This was about 5 mails before I got there:

I turned around when I got to the snow. The pickup in the background was
    loading a smowmobile.
