    A brief synopsis:

Big tents make so much sense

Champ's weather god status has been rescinded

    Communal living *rocks*

    There were no beans eaten

There was lots of alcohol imbibed

There was lots of bullshit talked

Suntan lotion is a good idea

Auvache doesn't always stink of wee

    WC is a fucking loon

    Gas BBQs make great heaters

Water is useless to light fires

The kids all got along (98% of the time)

    As did the adults

I've never eaten so well away from home

It rains in Cornwall on Saturdays

Dodger has some serious competition in the 'bling' stakes

Pip's new bike is very shiny

Birds (the feathered variety) are stupid

BigJ and Steph and fan*fucking*tastic cooks

Debs has the patience of a saint

Escort XR3i does not make a good chat up line

    Overall, it *rocked*

Thanks guys, adults and children alike, especially Elly(1) who
organised should get a DFV number.

    Very few pics here http://cont.me.uk/images/cornwall2005/
The rest of the pics I took are on film so I cannot publish them as yet

A short video(4meg) of the morning of leaving day here

Except when trying to pack them away.
Fucking useless, he was. Sacked again.
    Yer not wrong there.
    Their absence was not noticeable.
Three trailer-loads of empties, in total.
Vast quantities. Five trailer loads, in fact.
Fucking A. Hiding in the shade seemed effective, too.
Hardly news, that. The camp chairs were frightened.
    Never. Fucking stunned, I was.
    Apparently so.
    Still is, too. For now.
    Superlatives fail me.
    As above, really.
    Indeed, it did.
    Indeed, she should.

I got a tan, I'm fucking astounded seeing as I've never had a tan
    before.
    The mongvan pissed lots though
Did that last night. Funnily enough didn't get to sleep until 3am

You know, the company looks splendid, but that first picture made me
think of why I don't like camping.

Indeed. Reminds me of a cold wet Le Mans. And (in pic 6) I have never,
ever seen Auvache look so miserable.

This is a bit like going skiing and saying: "It started snowing as we
arrived, but then it all melted for the week we were there, and started
snowing again just as we left."

  15. In uk.rec.motorcycles, prawn amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
When you consider who was there, it's hardly surprising is it.

I did call 999 to report my car stolen only to find it again as I was
giving details to the operator though <g>

Apparently it's a new policy for this year. Saturday being change over
days, if it pisses down when they hit the A30 traffic, some of them turn
    around and go back home.

Open the back of the mongvan and throw it in worked for me.

Seemed like much more to me.

I rather like the untanned bits running horizontally across the folds of
fat I seem to have acquired in the last week.

    <raises arms>

All home safe and sound now and that is a tale in it's own right.
