Since when do vehicles have to have a point? -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tigtona 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
If you ever drive/ride a 3-wheeler with that configuration, you'll appreciate that it is an entirely different and hugely exciting experience; particularly the cornering. It's nothing like a car, or a bike - it's dramatically its own thing [oh look, correct apostrophising!]. I'm not sure about the stability of something with a higher CG than modern car-style 3-wheelers, but I find that the design really does things for me. At first glance I thought: "WANT". If I had the garage space, and the budget, for such an out-and-out toy, I'd certainly be tempted.
Again, why does there have to be a point? It's just a toy with a difference. The main advantage I can see is the average rider could ride it far closer to the limit in slippery conditions than they could a 2-wheeler, & with far less buttock-clenching. I can see it being huge amounts of fun on a wet mountain road. I doubt that was part of the design brief, but it's the closest I can come to rationalising something that shouldn't need rationalising. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tigtona 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Point is Bombardier extending their reach in the motorized toy market. They started out making snowmobiles (SkiDoo), and a few years ago expanded into small boats (SeaDoo). Now they want to grab a similar market niche for road-based vehicles. Looking at the thing, I suspect it will handle much more like a snowmobile than like a motorcycle.
