    Greet's to one and all....

I'm going to be heading over to the UK this Month (Late june) for my
High School Reunion. (Box Hill School in Surrey). I'm planning on renting a
Bike while I'm there, however as we silly colonials drive on the wrong side
of the road :) I was wondering if there was anyone around who would be
intrested in spending a couple of days Riding with me for a day or two (Or
at least till I get used to being on the correct side of the road). Don't
want to end up as an ornament on someone's car.....

    Regards,

    Dave

I prefer the anti-clockwise roundabouts like they have in France.

    See,

It's things like that which will get me in trouble. :)

However for the record, we do have a couple roundabouts here in Canada,
there's even one in Ottawa where I live.

Any other tips I should know about, places to go in Surrey, places to avoid?

I have more problems on the bike than in the cage, for the first few
miles, when coming over to the UK.

Once in Burmingham, I got to the roundabout and thought, '****, why are
they all going the wrong way round?' I corrected myself pretty sharpish
    like.

Funny you should mention that particular place...
The reason I'm comming back to the UK is to goto BoxHill, well not the Hill
itself but the School.... I can remember the bikers all there at the chip
    wagon on Sunday afternoon's....

And would someone please explain what you Brit's mean by "Top Posting"...

    Argh. Look here:
    http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmscbt.html

    Section 10.3 refers.

Why not have a wander round the rest of the FAQ while you're there?

    'See' I'm'a' learnin' new stuff's all's the time's... :)

Still have not found anyone to ride with for a couple of day's.

Would really like to if possible. Don't really care where the rideing is,
would prefer the Surrey / Southern England area if possible, also thinking
of takeing a swing upto Northwood where I used to live for memory's sake as
    it were....

    <pedant mode>
There's two in Ottawa, one on Sussex and one on Prince of Wales.
    </pm>

but unlike Ottawa (and Canada in general) roundabouts in the UK tend
to be consistent in that those on the roundabout have priority (like
the one outside the PM's house on Sussex).

P.S. Can I give you a shopping list of stuff to bring back from the
UK, just tyres and stuff ;-)

    cheers,
