So now that I have established that few people get nicked for not have "road
legal" cans I will now fit the one given to me with my bike, it's a carbon
one that sounds really sweet !

But what does everyone do come MOT time, does everyone with illegal (ie. not
E marked) cans replace them with the original cans or do MOT stations turn a
    blind eye?

Ta, D (and I promise not to mention cans again)

Give us a clue whereabouts in the country you are and somebody may be able
to provide a "friendly" MOT garage.

It really depends on the station. Some turn a blind eye but most insist
    on the road legal can.

Put the original back on for MOT, saves hassle.

Or take the original with you. The testers know what goes on, that
you will only change it straight back - so if you can prove you have a
legal can, they might as well let you have the ticket ... sometimes
    ;-)

That's what my MOT place suggested. In the end it was easier to swap the
scorpion back for the original (5 min job) than try and carry the
original can on the back of the Fazer!
