Whiplash from smacking my Citroen AX into a car that pulled out in from
    of me back in 1985-odd

Had some physio at the time but was in that awful position of the
physiotherapist looking like a young Catherine Zeta Jones, which of
course made me less willing to admit that there was anything wrong with
the fine specimen of manhood stood in front of her
The Tiger was very lovely, but very different from the Busa (as per my
    reply to Hog)

Err, if I understand, Slap Slap. A slow it down sonny, rather than a pull.

Mine was great. Wish I could have justified keeping it.

He can't see anything because of redshift or should that be red mist?

You have some special ones on yours that make them usable at speed, do
    you?

I think mine are about the worst on any bike I've owned, including the
Sprint ST, which was renowned for having vibratey mirrors!

I find it hard to believe the mirrors vibrate while the bike's
stationary in a garage 365 days a year.

    This is true.

While you're hereabouts, what tyres are recommended? Mine are a bit
squared off so I think some new ones are in order. I don't need
anything too sticky as I think it will be mainly be used as a commuter
this year (and no French run for me).

I'd opt for Pilot Road 2CTs. They did me fine on the Alps trip and last
year's TT. Any self-respecting tyre place should be able to order them
in, even if they don't generally hold stock.

Me too, a Power rear's unlikely to make it anywhere near 3k miles.

But I need a super sticky track day tyre for pub-bragging rights, then
I can ride like a pansy foo-foo to get the mileage out of it!

Mileage, maybe, but it'll be square as a car tyre in no time, even with
    a PFF on board.

<insert comment about tyres lasting forever when the bike's in the
    garage, etc>
