You know what really bugs me about those console games? The steering, The computer boffins think that a motorcycle will change direction as quickly at 180mph as 50mph so you turn into the hairpin using near full lock and make the turn. OK so far, then hammering down the straight at near full revs you have to steer past a rider, give the stick a wobble and put the bike into the Armco because the dunder- heads have never ridden a race bike - or any bike for that matter - at full speed and don't realise that turning a bike at full speed takes much more effort. So what we get is a set up that instantly turns 30º regardless of speed, whereas in the real world, if you try your damnedest to steer at 140mph you can only turn by 3º or 4º within the same time interval. Whats more I've been playing Motogp 2008 on the X- Box over winter only to find that because of the boffin theory that the race track 5cm away from the racing line is coated in slime, I have begun to turn in for a corner too early when out on the Ducati. So I have had to stop playing the super realistic Motogp 2008 until next winter because I don't want to pick up bad habits (or real world crash). Kids of today eh? Don't know they're born.
