Carb bits?

  1. Who is the favoured (cheapest) supplier of pilot jets these days? A single
N151.067 jet is £4.20 at Motocarb, but if a chap wanted to experiment with a
size up and down he'd be talking about £16.80 per size, which is just silly,
    obviously.

Tarts who can barely inflate their own tyres need not reply.

For main jets I'd say your local back-street bike shop, who'll probably
have a box of various sizes that you can borrow & try. But pilot jets
are a different kettle of fish.

Can you not just dial it in with the air/fuel screw? I've never had to
change a pilot jet size, even when doing fairly major changes to a
    bike's breathing.

  3. I'll give it a go, certainly. It's supposed to have size 35 jets in it as
standard but has size 40 so I assumed they'd been changed for a good reason.
I'll just order a 40 to replace the chewed one then, when I get the fecker
    out, and see what happens.

    Ta.
