That's the 2nd week in a row I've taken the Ducati out for an early blat
    on a Saturday morning.

It's the 2nd week it has largely been a pig to ride due to carb. icing.

Is there a simple solution for this?

But I wanted to ride this month, not wait for the roads to be stuffed
full of weekend drivers, just because it's a bit warmer out there.

Bloody thing keeps bogging down when getting back on the power, then
spitting and popping as the excess fuel hits the hot exhaust.

  7. It *should* have an anti-icing kit which is a set of oil lines, running
to the carbs. There's a junction box and a tap, like an old Italian fuel
tap on a 1970s Guzzi, on the junction box. This is so you can turn off
the heated flow if you want.

I've never found it necessary to turn it off - I suppose in an Italian
heatwave you might. But it's possible someone's turned it off on yours.

I shall investigate later, as I am swapping a fairing panel - managed to
get a replacement for the one I scraped on the BOTAFOT last summer for
less money than having mine painted.

My Duke used to have the same issue. I found that Super petrol helped.
Didn't eliminate it, but made a pretty good job.

Quite... bit of an expensive retro fit though.

Yeah, but the fringe benefits were pretty good. Lots more BHP, blacker,
got an extra cylinder into the deal as well.
