I need to rebuild the carb on the CB250RS I'm using as a commuter. Are
they worth buying as a kit, or should I just order the individual jets
and needles etc as seperate parts? I ask because every time I've had to
buy or use one, there have been bits missing or wrong for the carbs I'm
    doing, is this normal?

I've only ever encountered kits that leave you with a few leftover
parts once you put the carb back together...

I found the kits are worth buying if you do a proper overhaul and
don't have a shoebox full of petrol resistant O-Rings and small
gaskets flying about. Buying those as a kit usually works out a lot
cheaper than buying the parts one at a time.

The sensible answer I've been given to this conundrum is the kits cover
several types/models/variations of the carbs. Despite what it may say on
the packet. Hence the extra bits.
