    Hi Guys

Anyone know if any of the manufacturers do a Carbon fibre or CF/Kevlar
helmet (in the raw CF look - not painted)?

Axo used to; the RR-6. I bought one in November, 2001 to replace the AGV
X-Vent which got smacked when I got cleaned up on the R1. I've only just
replaced it, with an AGV GP Pro, which I went with only because Axo have
discontinued the RR-6 without superseding it, the bastards.

  3. YES used to do a carbon one - it was _very_ light... The one my friend
had was cool, but had way too many stickers on it for my taste (and the
way they'd written the "YES" logo made it look almost exactly the same
as the "SBK" logo the world superbike people were using when it was
    upside down...)

Only one brand does it these days and that's BMW with their Sports Integral
    and the Evo 4.

Then again, we do have the demo Shark RSR2 that's a raw Carbon/kevlar look
coming into the store from Monza. Looks great but it's missing half the
    shell. :p

Christ that BMW site is one of the worst websites I've been to in a long
    time !

Thanks for the tip Al, can you confirm that it's definitely CF look not
just matt black ? (which is all the info thats on the website)

    JL
(most brands do a matt black)

Hmm, it's still on their "international" website (in Italy, and in
Italian, despite clicking the english link"

    I like that. Nice.

A couple of their others aren't bad either...

Yes....they do both. (Just to tick you off) :p

The Carbon fibre helmets are special models and usually have their own
listing instead of classification under "Colours" or some such. ;)

    Cheers

BMW sportec helmets can be made in carbon fibre but I don';t think they
    are available in Oz.
they are in the bmw catalogue though.
Weird looking helmet in the CF look.

    emmachiset?

"The rear spoiler ensures extreme lift values and directional stability,
    also at high speeds."

    huh?

"More safety due to the reflex frame."

The frame is made from copy paper?

"Intelligence both in your head and on it."
I wonder who writes this stuff......

    "Available On:

    K 1200 GT
    K 1200 RS
    K 1200 S
    R 1100 S
    R 1100 S Replika
    R 1150 R Rockster
    R 1150 R Rockster Edition 80
    R 1200 ST
    R 850 R"

Oh, I guess they won't sell me one.

    It's the fullface one.
$620 with the metallic finish, silver, as I didn't like the matt black
or the plain red/white so silver is a more neutral colour. (wish they
    had it in yellow!)
And they threw in the optional nose breather free.
    (Generous bastards!~~~~)

    I got the clear visor.
Not a fan of any type of tinting or shading.
    That's what sunglasses are for:)
