  1. I've just taken my son over to his friend's place in Cottered, those
of you from anywhere near will be familiar with the A507, one of the
best roads in these parts. Anyway, in the Eunos giving it some, and I
came across the result of a very recent deer/car interface.

**** me, it was like something out of Reservoir Dogs.

I hit a larger sized Muntjac near Woburn Estate in 1990 - I was doing
about 85 at point of impact. The Astravan I was driving rolled 4 times
and was bent L shaped. Unfortunately my ex-wife, who was in the
passenger seat, survived with insufficent neck injuries.

You get extra points for hitting it with all four wheels in the air over
    the jump.

  7. I have never hit anything that big, I did hit a pheasant on the B656
round the back of Knebworth House at more than a ton in my old Passat
a few years ago. It ripped off the front bumper, that was a 'moment'.

I took a pigeon out with my right foot at 70 mph once, slowing
down for the Tamworth, NSW, built-up area. Hurt a bit, and left some
indefinable grey goo over my boot. View in the mirror immediately after
impact was a rapidly-expanding cloud of feathers.

Look at my FB pics to see what happened to my mate Dale's 6r when he hit a
Pheasant at 100mph, it was not nice.

I took two pheasants out in one go once. Bit of a thud and then the rear
view was an explosion of blood and feathers.

No damage to the car, other than the stains.

Ah, time for the hunting by transport thread.

I've shown these before but that won't stop me doing so again.

This is the mess Bambi can make of your bike.

Note the green vegetation around the engine, even though the bike didn't
    leave the road.

And then it left half of its coat behind.

I hit a fully grown stag.

It was with a 5,000 tonne train though.

    Didn't even damage the paint.

  15. I've hit a fox at around 90 on the M6T. Made a hell of a bang, but only
damage was a broken wheelarch liner. I was amazed.

  17. Reminds me of a (possibly apocryphal) tale of a train driver in Scotland
who felt a bump at night and drew into Glasgow Central with a human
    corpse on the front coupling.
